Jacob Phillips is Professor of Systematic Theology at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, a Catholic Theologian, a speaker and writer. His academic research focuses on theologians working on the interface of Catholicism and culture, the history of ideas, and philosophy – most recently John Henry Newman and Joseph Ratzinger. He writes a monthly column, The Oracle, and also comments in the public sphere on matters pertaining to culture, religion, and politics.
